New products announced at Nuremberg Toy Fair 2020 - part 1

As usual, this year’s fair in Nuremberg showcased new products and trends in the toy industry. As one of the largest international exhibitors, the Simba Dickie Group was also present at the fair. With 20 different brands to offer, we once again had the most diverse range of new products. We have summarised the highlights for you. The first round is marked up by Dickie Toys, Majorette, Jada Toys and Carson.

Dickie Toys

2020 promises to be another exciting year for Dickie Toys. Together with our numerous partners, we are launching yet more exciting models for our toy car range.

Our comprehensive new construction vehicle range is designed for children aged 3 and above. When developing our new toys, we worked with none other than Volvo, one of the world’s leading construction vehicle manufacturers. Our extensive range of products provides a variety of different play scenarios that help to stimulate curiosity in basic mechanical principles. Each model – from the small Micro Worker to the Heavy Loader Truck Set – comes with entertaining light and sound effects, providing young children with a fun and detailed interpretation of Volvo models.

But that's not all – we have also teamed up with Rosenbauer, the leading manufacturer of firefighting and emergency service equipment. The new Dickie Toys fire engines are inspired by Rosenbauer models. Our new toys for children aged 3 and above include fire engines with turntable ladders and an airport fire brigade.

We will also be launching a number of new RC vehicle models from the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

Majorette

2020 also promises to be an exciting year for Majorette, which has launched a partnership with the ABB FIA Formula E Championship. A particular highlight was the press preview at the toy exhibition, where Majorette and Dickie Toys presented their latest products, including a stunning new Formula E vehicle.

Other new additions include the Majorette Color Changers. The most impressive feature of this year’s limited edition vehicles is their ability to change colour as the temperature changes. As usual, the vehicles include licensed models such as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Lamborghini Huracán, Audi S5 Coupé, Ford Mustang, Dodge Viper and the Subaru WRX STI. The vehicles will only be produced for a limited period and are available individually with a collector’s card, or as a set of 3. There is also an attractive 9+4 gift pack, which will be available from April 2020 and comes with the exclusive Lamborghini Urus und Nissan GT-R vehicles.

Carson

Carson is expanding its range for young explorers. The cult vehicles Samba T1 Bus and the VW Beetle are available in 1:14 scale and are designed for children aged 8 and above. They come with a 2.4 GHz remote control and have a range of up to 50 metres, making them ideal for young drivers.

Carson’s small 1:87 Unimog series is also packed with high-tech features. The model is available in three variants: a communal, camouflage and forestry vehicle. Highlights include finely tuned controls, a signal light that can be switched on and off, detailed paintwork and lettering and functional headlights and tail lights.

The Airboat is another innovative model from Carson. The agile vehicle can swim, glide and fly.
