The Simba Dickie Group aims to combine long-term commercial success with sustainable ecological, economical and social policies. By adopting a conscious, efficient and sustainable approach to resource consumption, we want to fulfil our responsibility to protect our environment and raw materials for future generations. As part of our efforts to reduce energy consumption, the lighting concept at our logistics base in Sonneberg has been completely redesigned. Our goal was to significantly lower electricity consumption from lighting and therefore help to reduce CO2 emissions. By investing in modern LED lights, we were able to significantly improve the quality of our lighting at the same time as reducing energy consumption. Compared with our previous HQL lights, the energy saving is approximately 45%. The project was supported by the Free State of Thuringia and co-financed by the European Union as part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
